this is the story of how we begin to remember

My sister is in Rwanda right now in an attempt to adopt a child. She lost a son (along with a womb) a year or so ago at birth and she's turned to Rwanda, which currently has over 650,000 orphans, to extend her family. She's much more eloquent and accurate regarding her situation than I am so i will refer you to her blog if you are interested in hearing more of her amazing story.
Song of the day is from Paul Simon. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think. im not sure what it means.... This is for you Jess!

Well I check but you've been rather lame with keeping up. I know how it is trying to capture in still life what is really going on inwardly and outwardly.

Anyway, I listened to your song of the day and now I'm crying of course. Seems hard to reconcile you being in Australia, me being on this crazy African journey, with when we used to clean up the greatroom to Paul Simon. How can two kids who loved eachother sooo much be in separate parts of the world, a world away from our parents. Waaaa! I want to click my heels and be back in the great room for a while...

ok baby boy of mine, your blog is so very you, and I think everyone who knows you should read it. And this entry touches not only your family, but goes out with feeling to acquiantances and the curious as well. Your photos are terrific. I don't listen to the songs because I am using the Fisher Price intertnet. And predictably, some entries interest me and some don't - the shirt is funny and well written- the W. C. one -well- not so much.
More importantly, I love having a picture of you -a mental one, relatively happy in your own skin, and still very far away. Keep it up! Love and hugs to you and beary and foxy -(now there's a good topic!)
